The Story of Daisy Jenkins

Born in Spain and living in multi –cultural, inner city Bristol, Daisy was brought up experiencing travel and different cultures, foods and traditions. Her sister's Afro-Caribbean background and her own Spanish heritage along with a diverse extended family and strong female influence moulds her interest to explore and mix imagery.

Having been creative since a very young age Daisy began to realise her passion lay within patterns and the idea of decorating the world with beautiful colour and tropical wonders. She decided to take a leap of faith to pursue a career in print design initially with a background for interiors.

Through out her three year course she entered several competitions and exhibited two years running at the Premier Vision trades show in Paris. Experience at university opened her eyes to new possibilities and resulted in her obtaining a three-month internship at H&M Headquarters in Sweden designing for the ladies’ modern classic department. From this the idea of print for fashion became more appealing. She loved the fast paced trends and turnover of designs and inspiration. To expand her experience of the industry Daisy freelances with Made in Brighton during her masters and later on took a position at Bay and Brown where she is currently freelancing. The rest of her story is yet to be written..
